Advanced Math Fast Track: Elementary Algebra and Intermediate Algebra Review
Times and Location
These pass/fail courses provide a 20-hour intensive review of math concepts prior to the start of the Summer Sessions 2010 developmental math courses. Students should have a history of being successful in equivalent lev- els of math, although they may not recall enough information to score well on the placement test. Students who are successful in these classes have the possibility of earning math placement test scores that will advance them through one or two semesters of developmental math.
Who is Math Fast Track for?
- Students who have taken a placement test and placed into DEVM F050 or F060 (eligible to register for Math Fast Track) OR DEVM F060 or F105 (eligible to register for Advanced Math Fast Track)
- Students who have done well in math and need a review of prealgebra and/or algebra concepts
- Students who would like a fast paced, intensive review of prealgebra, elementary algebra, or intermediate algebra
These courses are not intended for students who have struggled with math and need longer instructional time to master algebra skills.
The required workbook (approximately $40) must be purchased from the UAF Bookstore prior to the start of class.
