UAF L.I.F.E.
(Lets Include Fitness Everyday)
In collaboration with the UAF Governance Health Issues Committee, the UAF Athletics & Recreation Department offers a wellness program for all faculty, staff, and students at UAF, TVC, Hutchison Center, or any other educational facility associated with UAF.
The UAF L.I.F.E. program will benefit any individual associated with UAF. Research supports the benefits of a wellness program at various college institutions, and results show that persons who work out daily reduce the risk of injury, take less sick leave, and have a better attitude due to improved personal well being.
The UAF administration supports flex time for all employees who wish to take advantage of the UAF L.I.F.E. program, including the workshops and activity hours held during the 8-5 workday.
The program consists of a variety of activities, events, and workshops for individuals to emphasize personal wellness. Wellness is an active program of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence.
