WRESTLING RULES

We will be using collegiate style rules with the following additions:

RULES:

Referee's decision is final! Wrestlers can question the score, but not the referee's judgment.

WEIGHT CLASSES:

The classes will be grouped on a up and down average of 7 lbs. and a wrestler can wrestle in one weight class above his own and include his own.

UNIFORM (may consist of the following):

1. singlet
2. T-shirt and shorts
3. wrestling shoes
4. soft soled shoes
5. barefoot
6. headgear is optional

INJURIES:

1. The match will be stopped immediately if bleeding occurs. Wrestlers are responsible for cleaning up their own blood.
2. Each wrestler is entitled to 2 minutes injury time and if they cannot continue after time is up, the injured wrestler forfeits.
3. If a wrestler is injured due to an illegal move, they receive 2 minutes to recover. If they cannot recover in 2 minutes the wrestler who did the illegal move will be disqualified.
