The University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Management is a professional school educating students in the art and science of business management. Choose Your Emphasis
The UAF MBA program offers emphases in General Management and Capital Markets. After gaining a set of fundamental business skills, you'll have the opportunity to choose the course of study that best fits your career objectives. The General Management emphasis offers the traditional breadth of management courses, while the Capital Markets emphasis offers in-depth finance and investment. The MBA program gives students the flexibility to attend on a full-time or part-time basis, with evening courses offered Monday - Thursday.

Accreditation
The UAF MBA program is accredited by the Association to Advance College Schools of Business. The AACSB accredits 120 programs nationwide, and the UAF accounting program is the only program in Alaska with AACSB accreditation.
Graduate Degree Programs
The School of Management offers two Master's degree programs; a Masters in Science (MS) in Resource and Applied Economics (traditional and statewide distance delivery available) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with either General Management or Capital Market Emphases.
In general, you may be admitted to graduate status if you have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in your undergraduate studies, and a 3.0 average in your major, and the major is deemed suitable for continuation of studies in the field of your choice. For specific SOM Graduate admission requirements, click on preferred area of study below, either MS or MBA.
You should apply six to nine months before the semester in which you plan to enroll. At the latest, your application for graduate admission with all supporting documentation, transcripts, and test scores should be received six weeks prior to beginning classes.
