The School of Management would like to introduce the four newest additions to our team:
Cam Carlson
Director of the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Program
Cam received a BS in Biology from Monmouth University (1986) and a MA in International Relations from Webster University (1995). Cam has extensive military and homeland security training. Upon retirement from the military after 24 years of service and with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Cam was awarded the prestigious Legion of Merit medal.
Nicole Cundiff
Director of the Northern Leadership Center
Nicole received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Marketing (2002), a MBA (2005), a MA in Applied Experimental Psychology (2007), and a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology (2010) from Southern Illinois University. Long before Nicole permanently moved to Fairbanks this fall, she worked with Sheri Layral to advance the UAF Northern Leadership Center, and together they are shaping its future.
James McDermott
Business Administration Instructor
Jim has a BS in Occupational Education with a concentration in business administration from Wayland Baptist University (1999), and a MS in Business Organizational Management from La Verne University (2001). Jim served in the U.S. Air Force from 1975-1998, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Jim has experience teaching at Wayland Baptist, Axia College, and the UAF School of Management.
Ruth Prato
Accounting Instructor
Ruth has a BBA from Loma Linda University (1990) and a Master of Accountancy from Auburn University (1991). She has worked at top accounting firms in California, Oregon, and Alaska, and has extensive tax experience. Ruth has taught accounting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and Accounting and Financial Management at Wayland Baptist University and the University of La Verne.
