The Student Advisory Council is a liaison between SOM students and (i) the SOM Dean, (ii) the SOM Executive Management Council and (iii) the SOM Business Advisory Council.
II. Membership:

- The SOM MBA program and the MS program in Resource and Applied Economics shall each have 1 member as appointed by the Dean after consultation with the SOM graduate program directors.
- At large members, one undergrad representative and one graduate representative from the SOM student body, who have attended for two or more years, will be nominated by the program directors and appointed to SAC.
The Dean shall appoint a SOM staff member to arrange meetings and take minutes. New members are appointed either late each spring semester or early each fall semester and officers elected at the last spring SAC meeting of the year. SAC shall nominate both a president and vice-president and vote by simple majority. The president or vice-president, or appointed designee, will attend the executive management council or business advisory council meetings as needed.
III. Meetings
Meetings will take place four times a year (twice in the Fall and twice in the Spring, and others as necessary) and will be attended by the SOM Dean and other invited guests. The SAC president will chair the meetings and have an agenda developed in consultation with other SAC members and the SOM Dean.
