The Pond

This pond was designed by 4-H children from Denali Elementary School and is a fine example of a small backyard wetland. Check here for many native aquatic plants, lots of dragonflies, birds and just a few goldfish!

	The GBG Children's Pond Garden was funded through a grant from the Alaska Science and Technology Foundation Direct Grants to Teachers program and the GBG. We built it with volunteer labor from 4-H, GBG, and friends of the GBG.
	The pond in fall is still home to the large gold fish. Soon they will be captured and moved to the stock tank in the greenhouse.

The Babula Children's Garden will connect to the pond along a winding pathway on the north side of the dry stream bed.
