Ohlsen Family Garden

Each year we test a variety of vegetables in the family food garden.

Corn is marginal but we get a crop most years. The seeds are soaked over night in warm water then planted out in the tilled ground by mid May. The rows are covered with IRT plastic and as the seedling grow, holes are poked into the plastic. Harvesting of other vegetables starts in early July and continues until the first frost. A frost can come at any time but will not likely be until mid September.
