The School of Natural Resources & Agricultural Sciences (SNRAS) along with the Agricultural & Forestry Experiment Station offer a world-class learning and research environment to both undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate courses are augmented by such learning experiences as the field course in resource management, internships, and the senior thesis project.

The school consists of four academic departments:
- Forest Sciences,
- Geography,
- Plant, Animal, & Soil Sciences,
- Resources Management.
Together, the departments provide teaching, research, and outreach activities that promote the successful long-term management of Alaska's natural resources.
