Academics
In life, there are unending responsibilities every man must orchestrate in an order conducive to his lifestyle. A SigEp always puts scholarship first. This takes responsibility and diligence. The jump from the broad learning spectrum of secondary school to the forced life-altering decisions of college is near impossible without many guides. Our brotherhood provides every angle of guidance necessary to go from seeker to a leader.

Our mandatory study sessions for those not making grades, led by our VP-Membership Development, get everybody’s head in the books. Our Balanced Man scholarship attracts stellar students to our fraternity and continues to put our chapter above the campus average each year. The GPA required to remain a member and hold an elected position is a high set bar that each and every member must clear, but the extra work is a small price to pay for the life-long benefits of a distinguished scholar.

Sound Mind & Sound Body
The brothers of SigEp are balanced men. Each and every one takes pride in his ability to attain and maintain a sound body and mind while reaching for the next level. A man with a sound mind devotes it to his schoolwork and his community. He betters his mind by studying hard and shows diligence in applying his intelligence and mental strength to philanthropic activities in order to help his fellow man grow with him. A brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon helps his fellow men in this manner, while also under guidance of his fraternity to strengthen mental health for a prosperous existence.

SigEps respect their bodies. Without the body the mind has nothing to function. Not achieving exceptional shape is to cheat one’s self out of his true potential. The SigEp devotion to this aspect is proven through constant success in intramural sports and attendance at the local recreational center. This Mind and Body combination is what a SigEp is built from. They begin their fraternal journey exalted in these categories and only grow with time.

The part of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity that does not fall under these categories is the Spirituality. The bonds formed between brothers during rituals are deeper than the pages of a book. While impossible to emanate, these bonds are what keeps the empty mind and body together. These ties are much stronger than time, as is shown by our multiple legacies and active alumni of our brotherhood. Every day is a good day to be a SigEp.
