Your Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Change your UAONLINE PIN

Your PIN (personal identification number) is a secured number that allows access to your records on the web. The PIN is originally set to your date of birth. To guard against unauthorized access to your records, you are required to change your PIN. Your PIN can be any six characters. Set your “Forgot PIN” question wisely. Once you change your PIN, be sure to remember the new number. If you forget your PIN, or need your PIN reset, do one of the following:

  • At UAOnline, enter your student ID number under "Login to Secured Area." Click the "Forgot PIN" button.
  • Bring a picture ID to the Registrar’s Office to request a PIN reset.
  • Fax a legible copy of your picture ID, phone number, e-mail address, signature and request to reset PIN to 474-7097. You will be contacted by e-mail once reset.
  • Contact the UAF Help Desk (450-8300) or the Registrar's Office at 474-6300 to request a PIN reset. You will be asked a series of security questions before we are able to reset your PIN.

NOTE: A directory or confidentiality hold on your records will require you to present a picture ID at a local campus to have your PIN reset.
