Registration process for new or returning non-degree and high school students
You are classified as a "new" non-degree student if you have never taken any courses at UAF (or have not taken any courses within the last two years), are not pursuing nor have been accepted to a degree program, but want to enroll as a non-degree student for the upcoming semester.
Before you register
Qualified high school students may enroll in UAF courses while still in high school. This requires in-person registration and permission of instructors. See the High School Student Enrollment Form for specific instructions and enrollment forms.
If you have never attended UAF or TVC, or if you haven't been enrolled in the past two years, you must complete a "No degree intended" application. Visit http://uaonline.alaska.edu, click on Apply for Admission, then click on New Students and follow the instructions for non-degree students. Alternatively, you can complete a registration form and submit it to the Registrar's Office during in-person registration.
Non-degree-seeking students may begin web registration on Nov. 11, 2009.
The last day to register for classes without late add fees is Jan. 29, 2010.
The last day to pay tuition and fees without incurring late fees is Jan. 29, 2010. If you do not pay, you will NOT be dropped for non-payment. You will be responsible for all tuition and fees.
As a non-degree-seeking student:
- You are subject to examination requirements for math and English placement
- You must maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain in good standing
- You are not eligible for financial aid
- You must meet regular admission requirements to become a degree student
