Registration process for current non-degree students

You are considered a current non-degree student if you:

  • were registered as a non-degree-seeking student at UAF last semester,
  • are not working toward a degree,
  • and want to enroll as a non-degree-seeking student for the upcoming semester.

Non-degree-seeking students may begin web registration on Nov. 11, 2009.
The last day to register for classes without late add fees is
Jan. 29, 2010.

The last day to pay tuition and fees without incurring late fees is Jan. 29, 2010. If you do not pay, you will NOT be dropped for non-payment. You will be responsible for all tuition and fees.

As a non-degree student:

  • You are subject to examination requirements for math and English placement
  • You must maintain a 2.0 GPA to remain in good standing
  • You are not eligible for financial aid
  • You must meet regular admission requirements to become a degree student



Registering on the web

Web registration dates:

  • Nov. 11, 2009 - Jan. 29, 2010
    All current non-degree students

Web registration and fee payment close at 11:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Tuition and fees can be paid immediately upon registration, but no later than Jan. 29 to avoid late fees. See Semester Expenses for specific information.

Web registration and fee payment is available every day, except during system maintenance (typically Fridays at 9 p.m.).

  1. Follow the web registration instructions at UAOnline beginning on Nov. 11, 2009. NOTE: Web registration ends at 11:59 p.m. Jan. 29, 2010.
  2. Attend classes beginning the first day of instruction.
  3. Pay tuition and fees by Jan. 29, 2010, according to the instructions.

Scheduled late start Due by first day of class

Early Start Due by first day of class
Employee tuition waivers Due by fee payment deadline
Senior citizen tuition waivers Due on day of enrollment (cannot enroll prior to the first day of class)
Audit classes Due by fee payment deadline -- all tuition/fees apply
International taxes Due within 30 days of notification

Late fees will be assessed if accounts are not paid in accordance with the above deadlines. Payment is due by the published deadline even if a bill is not received. There will be no university-initiated drop for non-payment.
