Registration process for current degree students
You are considered a current or returning student (undergraduate) if:
- You were enrolled at UAF last semester or you were enrolled and working toward a degree prior to last semester, and
- no more than two years have elapsed since your last enrollment.
Upper-level: You have 60 or more earned credit hours
Lower-level: You have 0-59 earned credit hours

All current degree students
Web registration and fee payment close at 11:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Tuition and fees can be paid immediately upon registration, but no later than Jan. 29 to avoid late fees. See Semester Expenses for specific information.
Web registration and fee payment is available every day, except during system maintenance (typically Fridays at 9 p.m.).
Degree students who have been accepted to a degree program may register on the web beginning Nov. 9, 2009. Web registration permits students to register for classes and to add or drop courses. This easy system is available through 11:59 p.m. on the last day of late registration and allows you to register at your convenience.
- All degree students must submit an advisor-approved registration form to access web registration. Before you start, remember to go to http://uaonline.alaska.edu to print your registration form. Select Student Services & Account Information. Click on Registration and Check Your Registration Eligibility. You can also pick up your registration form from your advisor.
- Complete the registration form. Check the personal data information. Correct your mailing and permanent address at UAOnline.
- See your academic advisor prior to your scheduled registration time. If your advisor name is not listed on your registration form, talk to your academic department. If you have not declared a major, go to the Academic Advising Center, 509 Gruening Building, and an advisor will assist you.
Once your schedule is firm, carefully complete the course information on the registration form and have your advisor sign your registration form. - At least a day before you plan to register, you must turn in your completed and signed registration form, including any special permission forms and/or individual study forms, to any of the following locations.
- Main Fairbanks Campus:
- Registrar’s Office (102 Signers’ Hall)
- Advising Center (509 Gruening Building)
- Rural Student Services (Main Floor, Brooks Building)
- 201 Bunnell Building
- 101 Chapman Building
- 194 or 308 Reichardt Building
- Off Campus:
- 164 University Park
- Tanana Valley Campus Center, 604 Barnette St.
- Submitting a signed registration form does not mean you are now enrolled in classes. You must go to the web and register for classes to complete the process.
- Main Fairbanks Campus:
- Complete your web registration at at UAOnline by following the web registration instructions. NOTE: Web registration ends at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2010.
- Attend classes beginning the first day of instruction.
- Pay tuition and fees by Jan. 29, 2010 according to the schedule and instructions.

Late fees will be assessed if accounts are not paid in accordance with the above deadlines. Payment is due by the published deadline even if a bill is not received. There will be no university-initiated drop for non-payment.
Graduate students
Graduate students are encouraged to see their academic advisors to plan their schedule of classes. No registration forms are necessary for continuing graduate students.
- Follow the web registration instructions according to the web registration schedule.
- Attend classes beginning the first day of instruction.
- Pay tuition and fees by Jan. 29, 2010, according to the instructions.
NOTE (graduate students only): If you register for a course that is not on your Graduate Study Plan (GSP), the course may not count toward your graduation requirements. In addition, if your tuition is paid through a grant, fellowship or stipend, courses must be approved by your committee to be funded.
