What's New

Environmental, Health, Safety, and Risk Management (EHSRM) Director, Frances Isgrigg, presents the 2014 EHSRM Safety Spirit Award to Clayton Brice, Facilities Services Utilities Superintendent. Clay was recognized for his support to EHSRM and his department for several accomplishments to include developing a personal protective equipment policy and efforts to improve environmental compliance at the Power Plant. Each year, EHSRM recognizes an individual, like Clay, who’s effort as an advocate for occupational safety and health, goes above and beyond. This award is personally selected by EHSRM, acknowledging an individual’s exemplary spirit in promoting safety throughout the year. We also promote workplace safety during the year through positive reinforcement of observed safe behaviors and voluntary participation in various safety/risk programs. Check out the UAF Safety Awareness Incentive Program page at  http://www.uaf.edu/safety/safety-incentive-program/ and see how you can win some great prizes valued up to $50. We look forward to hearing from you!

UAF SAFETY POLICY

The UAF Safety Policy was signed by Chancellor Rogers on March 3, 2015.  The policy combines Occupational, Personal, Community and Fire Safety into one document which applies to all employees, students, and volunteers at UAF campuses.  Take a look and see what your responsibilities under the policy are.
