Safety Training

EHS&RM offers a variety of training programs and resources to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Stae and Federal laws require UAF to develop and maintain an effective occupational health and safety program and assure compliane with occupational protection regulations. The programs that have been developed are designed to fulfill regulations and to promote safe practices in the workplace and academic setting.

Safety training classes are offered in a number of ways at UAF.

  1. In a classroom setting
  2. Via web access - www.uaf.edu/safety
  3. Via BlackBoard - http://classes.uaf.edu

Below is a list of training classes EHS&RM currently offers. We continue to add classes, so come back often. Also, as classes are added, you can find links on our "what's new at EHS&RM" page.

We recommend review of the following training matrix to determine what type of safety training your employees may be required to take. For required classes not listed below in the "training offered by EHS&RM", please contact EHS&RM and we will develop the training or out source the training if needed. It is the responsibility of the department to ensure their employees have the required safety training.

EHS&RM is available to assist departments with determining what training is required. Once the determinations have been made, EHS&RM can conduct training to ensure compliance with the regulations.
