JT Baker Storage Color Code
UAF has adopted J.T. Baker’s storage color code system. The premise
is that chemicals are labeled with one of five solid colors or a striped color
indicating the type of materials to which a particular substance can be stored.

storage colors and their meaning.
Note: the orange color which represents general storage has been changed to
green. Chemicals previously labeled with orange tags can be stored with green
tagged chemicals.
