Here you'll find the schedules of some of the tutoring services offered at UAF. All of these resources are in the Fairbanks area and most are just a short walk away from wherever you may be on the UAF main campus.
If you're not on the UAF campus or in Fairbanks, you still have resources available! Some tutoring services offer telephone and e-mail tutoring. To find out if the subject you need help in offers telephone/e-mail tutoring, check on their webpage or give them a call. If you'd prefer to meet with someone in person, call your campus to inquire about what tutoring services are available to you.
The American Indian Science and Engineering Society offers math, science, and engineering help daily in the Gathering Room.
Math and Stat Lab
Located in Chapman 305, the Math and Stat Lab is open seven days a week. Tutors there will help with almost any level of MATH or STAT that you need help with!
The Writing Center
The UAF Writing Center aims to satisfy students' English needs. They offer tutors, reference books, and a computer lab with free printing. They even offer a telephone tutoring service for those who aren't on the Fairbanks campus.
We have all sorts of help on campus for math, but it if you're looking specifically for accounting help, the Accounting Lab is here for you.
Developmental Math Lab
The Department of Developmental Education offers DEVM tutoring at their Math Lab. There are two locations. One is on campus in 406 Gruening and the other is at the Community & Technical College in room 120.
Foreign Language Lab
The Language Lab has a few different resources for those looking to pick up another language. They have computers and language programs for your use and offer tutors that will help you master your language.
The Speaking Center
The Speaking Center aims to help students prepare for public presentations. Coaches here will help at any stage in the process from refining a topic to practicing a presentation.
Student Support Services
Student Support Services offers tutors from many different fields, including: english, communication, science, and mathematics. If you are eligible to be a part of the SSS program, this might be the resource for you!
There are multiple places you can go if you need to use a computer or printer. This site provides locations and hours of operation for the convenient computer labs that the Office of Information Technology maintains.
