Apply for Admission.
There is a required one time fee of $40 for Certificate/Associate programs and $50 for Bachelor degree programs. High school transcripts and a list of senior year courses are also required. Go online to search for scholarship opportunities.
October: Expect your acceptance letter in the mail along with the UAF Getting Started packet which contains a residence hall and dining services contract, health inventory form as well as a mandatory orientation application.
January - March: Complete your financial aid applications. Some applications take six to eight weeks to process once submitted. Alaska Student Loans and Federal Direct Loans require completion of the FAFSA form. Contact the Financial Aid office at 1-888-474-7256 or directly at 474-7256.
May - September: Call Rural Student Services to register for Fall semester classes. Keep all scholarship award letters and bring them with you to UAF.
August: Finalize financial aid details & housing arrangements. Call 474-7215 to get a mail box assigned to you. First time Freshman Orientation begins on– campus.
September: Payment of fees, purchase of textbooks, and beginning of classes occurs. See your advisor at Rural Student Services on the main floor of the Brooks Building!
