Colleen is originally from Illinois but has lived in Alaska since she was 12. She went to junior high in Nightmute and high school in Tununak, both on Nelson Island, west of Bethel. She attended UAF and earned a BA in English with a minor in Secondary Education. She was advised through Rural Student Services for her undergraduate degree. She's currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education. When she has time left over after work and school, she likes to read, crochet, cross stitch, and scrapbook.

Gabrielle has been working with UAF for the last 20 years and as an Advisor with RSS for 10. She is happy that longtime friend and mentor Sue McHenry encouraged her to apply at RSS and has found it to be her perfect niche. Gabrielle came to UAF as a freshman by way of Upstate NY and used to tag a long with her friends who had advisors at RSS. She earned a BA in History, minoring in French, and a M.Ed. with a license in Community Counseling. She loves river travel, meeting new people, speaking French and creating art with her daughter. Most importantly, she enjoys problem solving and helping others, skills that have hopefully assisted the students she has come to know over her years at UAF.

Minnie is originally from Kotzebue and has family from Noatak and Shishmaref. Minnie graduated from UAF in 2008 and was involved with RSS. Her degree was in Rural Development with an emphasis in Community Organizations and Services. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Olga has been advising at RSS since 2010. She grew up in Fairbanks and Kwethluk and attended RSS as an undergraduate student. She advises the UAF Chapter of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). She earned her BA in Foreign Languages, Teacher Certification and endorsements, her M.Ed. in Language and Literacy at UAF. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Indigenous Studies program.

Eileen Panigeo MacLean House Program Manager, Advisor
Tim Murphrey is originally from New Orleans, but has lived in Fairbanks for 23 years. At UAF, he earned a BA in English, minoring in Alaska Native Studies, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Indigenous Studies program. He has taught high school in the Fairbanks School District, as well as for the Rural Alaska Honors Institute for 13 years. Tim has a real passion for traditional archery, keeping his old Harley running and on the road, and writing poetry.

Brianna and her family moved to Dillingham, Alaska when she was ten. At seventeen, she flew the coop and went to UAF to obtain her B.S. in Biological Sciences. With the help of her advisor (Colleen) at Rural Student Services, she graduated in 2012 and began working for RSS as the Office Manager. Aside from keeping the crazy out of the office, she loves to cook for Positive Connection Nights and other events. When not in the office, she likes to get out of town, take her dog out to the many trails around UAF and Fairbanks, hang out with her husband, and solve Rubik's Cubes.
