Aviation and Trade Technologies

The aviation maintenance technology program at AF Community and Technical College is one of the only FAA-certified, Part-147 school programs in the nation that can be completed in just 12 months. The aviation maintenance program is a recent recipient of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Diamond Certificate of Excellence award, the agency’s most prestigious award given in recognition of top aviation maintenance technicians and their employers. The program is designed to prepare students for the FAA’s airframe and powerplant exam. Passing the exam allows students to find jobs in aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and other maintenance-related fields, as well as perform maintenance on personal aircraft.
