Applied Business Program

Program Overview

The applied business program will provide you with a well-rounded business education covering a wide range of business related subjects to include: emerging technologies, advanced business procedures, interpersonal skills, principals of accounting, applied management, human relations, math, communications, customer service, business law, finance and logic.

Whether you are pursuing a one-year applied business management certificate or a two-year associate of applied science degree, our instructors offer a practical understanding of the marketplace. Classes are taught by full-time faculty, and numerous adjunct instructors from the local business community bringing real-world business insight and experience to the classroom. Many of the classes are available on-line, in the evening or on weekends.

Applied Business Concentration Areas

Students in the Applied Business program choose from one of 13 concentration areas. Students who complete a certificate can go on to complete their A.A.S. degree, and eventually pursue a Bachelor’s degree in business administration at UAF..
