     The Alaska Technical Center, the Northwest Arctic Borough School District, Maniilaq Association, and the Northwest Inupiat Housing Authority have been very important partners with Chukchi in providing affiliate faculty for our many residents. NANA’s support for our students and their continuing Rosetta
Stone efforts have continued to make our Inupiaq classes grow. Because of these and our other partners, in the 2007/08 academic year, we’ve been able to serve high numbers of high school
students and residents from our regional villages. This summer, thanks to our US Department of Education Title III Grant, we held our first course on wind turbines for remote sites. As a result of this grant and our partnership with the Alaska Technical Center, we were also able to install a new $80K
flight simulator. We will be able to use this simulator with our ground school instruments class in the Spring of 2009.
