If you are going home (or just leaving campus) for the winter break you do not have to move out!  Take what you need with you and leave the rest in your room. You will have the same room for spring unless you have made other arrangements with the central Residence Life office (MBS complex).

Things to Remember

• Vehicals left on campus will be towed for snow removal. If you plan to leave your vehicle on campus over , be sure to relocate it to the Taku lot, (located along Taku Drive near Farmers Loop Road)
   
• You will not have access to residence halls during Winter Break, but you can leave your belongings in your room. Just make sure to take what you will need during the break!
   
• Meal Plans are not active and dining choices on campus are extremely limited during the break.
   
• Halls are closed from 12pm (Noon) on Sunday, December 16, 2012 through 8:00 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 you can not be in the halls UNLESS you have filed a Winter Break Extension form and obtained prior approvall to stay on campus!

If you need to stay on campus for any portion of the winter break closure:

Most residence halls will be closed for the Winter Break. Students wishing to stay on campus during Winter Break will be temporarily consolidated into Wickersham Hall, Bartlett Hall, or additional buildings if necessary.Submit a Winter Break Housing Extension Application as early as possible, as there is a limited number of spaces available in campus residence halls during the closure.  Winter Break Extension Forms are available here or in the Residence Life office (MBS Complex).

Cutler & Stainability Village Residents Only: Fall 2012 the Village and Cutler residents do not need to fill out this Winter Break form. Students assigned to Cutler or the Village will be allowed to stay through the Winter Break at no additional charge as long as you will have continued occupancy through the Spring 2013 semester. 

In order to be considered for an extension, all applicants must be in good standing with the Department of Residence Life and have a spring semester housing agreement. If approved,
you will be notified in writing, along with instructions on picking up your keys and other necessary information.

Winter Break halls are:
Bartlett, Cutler, Wickersham and the Sustanable Village
  
Students who live in the above halls will be able to stay in their current room after paying the extension fee. There is an extremely limited amount of space for students who live in other halls. All available space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students will be relocated to one of the winter break halls and assigned roommates for the break.
