Computing Information

All residence facilities on campus are equipped with either an ethernet or wireless connection to the UAF network. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) offers support for UA students, staff and faculty by offering downloadable software, email, computing assistance through the help desk, and walk-up computer assistance in the MBS lobby. There are also several computer labs available on campus up to 23 hours per day.

In the residence halls, each room is equipped with one ethernet jack for each occupant. Any hall resident with a computer and the proper software and hardware is encouraged to take advantage of this resource. Please follow the instructions on the OIT website to activate your network connection.

All UA students and staff have a Google Apps @ UA account created for them. To access your account, go to google.alaska.edu.
