Residence Hall and Apartment Communities
Single
student housing is available in four main areas at UAF:
- Central
to the main part of campus, Wickersham, McIntosh, Nerland, Stevens
and Lathrop are conveniently located near the SRC, Lola Tilly
Commons, Wood Center and the Rasmussen Library. For the 2008-2009 academic year, Lathrop Hall will house graduate or non-traditional residents in double-single rooms on two floors, and university guests on the remaining 3 floors.
- The
MBS Complex is home to the residents of Moore, Bartlett and
Skarland Hall. Located just a short walk from the Wood Center
and main campus, it is also close to the Natural Science Facility
and West Ridge. The Department of Residence Life, Office of
Information Technology Student Support Center and the Hess Rec
Center are also located within the MBS lobby.
- Cutler
apartment complex, located just north of the Natural Science
Facility, is a great housing option for students wanting the
convenience of campus, with the independence of apartment living.
- MacLean
House offers students coming from rural areas of Alaska a small
community style living environment to help with the transition
to college life.
