Be Move-In Ready!
Whether you are transferring rooms or moving into On-Campus housing for the first time, Check-In starts at the Moore-Bartlett Skarland (MBS) Complex. Bring a photo ID! If you need an early or later check-in date, contact Residence Life Office immediately. Early check-ins are not available. Please plan accordingly.
At check-in you will receive:
- Your room keys,
- A Room Condition Report, which records the condition of your room upon Check-In
Polar Express Cards: All residence halls are secured through your Polar Express Card. Your PolarExpress card is your permanent University Identification card. Make sure you keep your card even if you have breaks in your affiliation with the University, or you will be charged a lost card fee for a replacement. The card can be used for meals, door access, library book checkout, student health services, the student rec center, and many other activities around campus. Cards are issued throughout the year and may be obtained as early as one week prior to the start of an academic session for new students.
The Polar Express Office is opened Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. We have extended hours on Thursday from 8 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Our office is located in the Eielson Building in room 116.
Keys, Room Condition Reports, and Checking In: After you are issued the keys for your new room at Check In we'll have you sign for the condition of your new room. If you'd like to adjust anything on the form you'll need to do so within 48 hours (two days) of checking in. If you make any adjustments to the form, please bring it to your RA or Res Life Front Office. Your signature on the form indicates that you've recieved your keys and take responsiblity for the condition of the room. After your check-out you may be charged for any damages not recorded on the form, so pay attention!
Late Arrivals: If you do not check into your assigned room on your scheduled check-in date, University Housing may cancel your reservation and offer your assignment to another student.
