Lathrop Hall

Guest housing is now available for individuals or large groups during the academic year at UAF!  Conference Services can accommodate up to 120 guests for short or extended stays in our guest facilities August 2007 through August 2009.  Eligible guests include prospective students, a parent or out-of-town friend of a student, youth organizations, state or federal agency employees, or students, staff and faculty from other UA campuses. Unfortunately, local UAF students are not eligible for guest accommodations on campus.

Lathrop Hall is located on lower campus near the Patty Center and Student Recreation Center.  There are 5 residential floors, with a laundry room on the first floor, a lounge on the second floor, and kitchens on floors 2-5.  The second floor lounge has a computer for guest use, a television with couches, a foosball table and several vending machines.  There is no cost for laundry, and the kitchens each have a refrigerator, microwave, basic dishes, pots and pans.  Each floor has a common bathroom that is gender specific, and has several sinks, toilet stalls and shower stalls.

There are two types of guest bedrooms.  All of our rooms have two twin beds, two dressers, two wardrobe closets, and two desks with chairs.  We also provide sheets, blankets, pillows, towel and washcloth.  The rooms also have phones with local service and a phone book for convenience, as well as an Ethernet cord for connecting personal computers to the internet. 

In addition to the items mentioned above, the premium rooms have a television with the UAF Cable Lineup, a comforter, and an alarm clock.
