Welcome to the Large Animal Research Station
Locals refer to us by our acronym LARS or as the muskox farm but our official title is the Robert G. White Large Animal Research Station. LARS is managed by the University of Alaska Fairbanks to provide a unique facility for research and education that focuses on muskoxen, caribou and reindeer
Visitors of all ages can safely observe some of our animals from the parking lot any time of year.
