Prospective Students
We welcome your application to join the Resilience and Adaptation Program. As you go forward with the application process remember:
- RAP is open to UAF PhD students, UAF masters students, and visiting PhD students from other institutions.
- RAP is NOT a degree granting program. RAP works with existing degree programs to provide an interdisciplinary curriculum in which students participate.
- If you are applying to RAP as a new UAF student, you must also apply to a degree granting program for admissions. These application processes occur concurrently and the application materials you submit for your degree program will be forwarded to RAP as a part of your RAP application.
- Identifying your graduate advisor is an important part of the admissions process. Any UAF faculty person can serve as an advisor. We recommend reviewing the Participating Faculty pages of this website and departmental faculty pages to learn more about the work and interests of UAF faculty. If you need help identifying a graduate advisor, contact Todd Brinkman tjbrinkman@alaska.edu, who coordinates the RAP admissions process.
Feel free to contact the RAP Office at uaf-rap@alaska.edu if you have questions about any part of the admissions process.
