Each student of RAP designs and implements his or her own internship to build skills and gain experience outside the student’s home discipline and to prepare for thesis research. The internship is usually completed during the first summer of study and undertaken within the context of the two credit course, Resilience Internship. PhD students use the internship to put their dissertation research in a local-global context, traveling to work with international organizations. Financial support is provided for internship travel. The internship lasts four weeks for a master’s student and eight to ten weeks for a PhD student.
