Rural Alaska Honors Institute

Program History

The UAF Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI) was founded at the request of the Alaska Federation of Natives in 1983. It was established to prepare rural and Alaska Native high school students for academic excellence and college success. RAHI has offered a summer institute on the UAF campus every year since it was founded. RAHI has evolved dramatically over the past two plus decades.
