Welcome to Seralee's Home Page

I attended RAHI, Rural Alaska Honors Institute, during the summer of 1999.

Native Name: Qussauyaq (Quss)

Nick Name: Saaq

Year Born: 1981

Month and Day Born: (November 18)

Seralee belongs to the class of 2000 "Once in a life time." She likes to play basketball, be bored, trust on people, dream, and most of all laugh. She says "Laughing is the food to my soul." She thinks her mom is the coolest and funniest person on earth. She doesn't have a set career goal yet. Her best memories at RAHI were meeting new friends and staying up in Twin Bears with out having to worry about her homework. Her least favorite part of RAHI was Homework. Every night she had to do homework in the dark after the lights are out. She also didn't like eating the same food everyday at the Wood Center. Seralee doesn't really have a clue where she will be in the next ten years. She only knows "Act in the living present! Trust no future!!!" is the quote she wants on all of her cookies. *This was written by Howard Maxwell for the year book biography. Information was by me.*

All of the information you read up there is true. I do belong to the class of 2000...and yes it is true..."once in a life time!" My mom? She is really, the coolest person on earth and most definitely the funniest. She's awesome and so is my sister (too REAL). Oh...my moms name is Sarah and my sisters name is April. I am from Kwigillingok a.k.a. "Village of no river." That is actually not true. Back in the old days, I think there used to be NO river but then as of today or NOW... there are rivers here and there. Population is about 350 ...or maybe more.

RAHI? RAHI is SWEET!!! Spending six weeks in the Macintosh Dorm wasn't all that great but with the students and people that were in the dorm with me made it great. I believe RAHI made me become a different person in education wise and basically in everything. It was definatly a great experience and a very challenging six week program. I know I really didn't enjoy doing all the work but its like I just had to do the work. I realized how hard college can be if one just slacks off and doesn't care. RAHI changed that part of my life. It was a program where I learned how to manage my time and responsibility. Of course I aleady had those things in life, but here at RAHI I experienced the college type of life. Anyone interested in going to college... start your first step by going to RAHI...you will see where you stand. Maybe you can handle college or maybe you'll find out that you can't handle it. (?)
