| “The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.”- Tom Bodett |

| "Every instructor assumes that you have nothing else to do except study for that instructor's course." |

| The Tutor/Counselors live in the dorms. Their job is to "babysit" the RAHI students and to help them with homework. The "T/Cs" are like parents away from home. They are a big help when it comes to academic problems in the dorms. | ![]() |

Here, a professor helps a student identify a rock. Tutors come to the dorms to help students. There is plenty of help; but sometimes, all the students need the tutors at once like during finals week. |
| The academic portion at RAHI, is very strict. The students have an Enlish class (111x or DEVS 105), a Study Skills class, a specialty class, either swimminng or Native dance, an optional morning Web Design class, and some have a morning reading class. Each day, the professors and teachers assign the students homework to finish in "study hour". | ![]() |

Study hour is mandatory to participate in. It takes place every school night from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm. Talking on your phone, loud music, and running around the building are not allowed. This is the time where students study homework and other assignments assigned by the teachers. |
| The academic program at RAHI is one of a kind. Not only have the teachers been teaching for a long time, the dorm staff and tutors all know what they are going through. Most of the T/Cs have gone through RAHI. The students are very greatful to have them around. | |
| "True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country." |
