In this class we learned about the fundamentals of petroleum, drilling methods, and other oil related stuff. The class is taught by Professor Shirish Patil. Some fun parts about the class are when we got to watch Dirty Jobs to learn about "mud" and how it is used for drilling. The most exciting part of the class is when they take a fieldtrip with the Geoscience class to Chena Hot Springs to investigate rock types and geothermal energy.
