Mother for all RAHI Students
Hello, my name is Denise Wartes.
I have recently recieved my Bachelor's Degree (May 2001) here at UAF (University of Alaska Fairbanks) and have been helping out here at RAHI, for which I'm known quite well as the "Mother of the Rural Alaska Honors Institute."
I help out in all RAHI areas, paperwork, info, you name it, I got it. Therefore, RAHI has learned to call me "Mom."
I've lived on the Arctic Coast for about seven years, and now in Fairbanks for about Thirty. I have been involved with the University of Alaska Fairbanks since 1987, and since have seen many young adults grow to be intelligent, successful human beings with the help of our programs.
In about five years, I plan to recieve my Masters Degree in Cross Cultural Studies. Then in ten years, I hope to be the director of a program, possibly RAHI.
Thank you for reading my web page. Feel free to contact me with any questions about campus, college, and especially RAHI.
