Tammy Thompson

 



Hi. My name is Tammy Thompson and I am the Chemistry instructor for RAHI 2001. I graduate from University of Alaska Fairbanks in May of 2000! I have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Biological Sciences. I am currently working on a Masters in Molecular Biology. I have been a teaching assistant for the laboratory for 3 years, I will continue being a laboratory assistant for the rest of the summer for Chemistry 105 and into the fall for Chemistry 106.

The course I am teaching at RAHI is every Monday-Friday. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are lectures, Tuesday and Thursday are lab days. This course teaches the fundamentals of chemistry, it emphasis the impact of chemistry and the chemical industry on society and the environment. This course is a 4 credit class that can be used to fulfill a part of a natural science degree for non-science majors.
