Jenni Flanigan

 

My name is Jenni Flanigan. I live in the woods, almost in the middle of no where, our house is located 20 miles outside of Skwentna. Skwentna is the first check-point of the Iditorarod trail, it is about 80 miles NW of Anchorage, and we get our mail there. My family and I grow a large garden, we have chickens, geese, four dogs, and some rabbits. I'm the oldest of four children, I have two younger brothers, one younger sister, and we are all home schooled. I would(tentitively) like to either be an elementary school teacher, a marine biologist, or work at lodges around the state, caring taking, guiding, etc. I love to: fish, moose hunt with my dad and brothers, ski, swim, crochette, read, do beadwork, and listen to the oldies station on the radio. One of my favorite songs is "American Pie" by Don McLean.

In five years, Isee myself completing college, in Alaska or Hawaii.

In ten years, I see myself maybe staring a family in the woods, or doing something for a living, which won't drive me insane(meaning no cities bigger than Fairbanks, and no desks.
