I attended Rural Alaska Honors Institute during the summer of 2001 and 2000
I am from White Mountain which is on the Seward Peninsula. It has a population of about 200 people. Just like any other village sports dominates the screen. The difference between White Mountain and the others, is basketball doesn't doesn't run the show, it is SKIING. Some kids learn to ski before they learn to run or sometimes walk.
My interests and goals are in going to college to hopefully either becoming- a doctor (medical at least) or becoming a teacher. I would like to return to White Mountain when I am finished with college at UAA (UAA at the moment).

ENG 111 Since I came to RAHI last year I am taking English 111. This class is taught by Professor George Guthridge. It is a hard and rigorous class. Some advice for this class is that you should never fool around, listen, and ALWAYS include FACTS.
DEVM 106 This class is basically Pre-Calculus. The class is great, the professor is awesome (Greg Owens). I like it, because I am always on my toes.
ANS 161 This class is Alaskan Native Dance. It is a lot of fun. It is interesting to learn new dances from different ethnicities.
