Goal:
To assure that graduates are prepared to either enter the job market or to
successfully compete for admission to graduate studies in institutions of their
choice.
1.
Objective: Students will have a basic understanding of the discipline of
anthropology and its four subfields including their perspectives on society and
development through time.
2.
Objective: Students will have a clear understanding of the meaning and role of
culture in anthropology.
3.
Objective: Graduates wil1 have an understanding of methods of anthropological
data gathering and analysis, and of the practical applications of these.
Assessment Criteria

M.A. and Ph.D. Degrees
Goal:
To assure that graduates are prepared to either pursue careers in anthropology
(Ph.D.), or to continue their graduate education or pursue professional careers
(M.A.).
Objectives: Students will acquire a comprehensive
understanding of their subfields of concentration including its perspectives
and research methodologies. Students
will be able to design and conduct research projects, produce fundable research
proposals and/or publishable professional papers.
