Mission Statement

The Office of Faculty Development provides professional development opportunities for all faculty at UAF in the areas of teaching, learning, and scholarship. Assistance with travel, mentoring, promotion & tenure, and instructional technology (through Campus Technology Services) are some of the programs we offer. The Office also maintains a collection of resource materials on these topics, the Chronicle of Higher Education and other newsletters in the office and at the Rasmuson Library. Regular workshops, panel discussions, and seminars will be held throughout the year for faculty. Although these are specifically designed for new faculty, they are open to all faculty, and can be audio-conferenced to the rural campuses if requested.

The Director of the Office of Faculty Development is Dr. Joy Morrison.
The Office is located on the UAF campus at 222 Bunnell building. Tel: 474-5055
E-mail Dr. Morrison
