Faculty Development

Mission Statement

The Provost's Office of Faculty Development provides professional development opportunities for all faculty at UAF in the areas of teaching, learning, and scholarship. Assistance with travel, mentoring, promotion & tenure, and instructional technology (through the Faculty Technology Resource Center) are some of the programs we offer. The Office also maintains a collection of resource materials on these topics at the Rasmuson Library. Regular workshops, panel discussions, and seminars will be held throughout the year for faculty. Although these are specifically designed for new faculty, they are open to all faculty, and can be audio-conferenced to the rural campuses if requested.

The Office of Faculty Development is located at 222 Bunnell.

The Director of the Office of Faculty Development is Dr. Joy Morrison.
