Institutional Accreditation
Draft Self-Study 2001

Every 10 years the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, UAF's regional institutional accrediting agency, requires that we produce an institutional self-study for reaffirmation of accreditation. The self-study is a comprehensive report and collection of exhibits that explain what we do and how we do it. The final draft of UAF's self-study will be sent to NASC in August 2001.

The information required by NASC for our self-study is detailed in the 1999 Accreditation Handbook. The draft self-study is organized by each of the nine standards required in the Accreditation Handbook. As drafts become available for each standard, they will be posted.

All UAF units and constituents are encouraged to provide feedback on the draft self-study. Your participation in this stage of the review process is very important and your feedback is critical. In particular, we are asking for comments on controversial issues, omissions, and errors in fact. We hope that this draft, warts and all, will spark discussion. Reference the page number on your comments so we know which section you are addressing.

Contact Dana Thomas, Ron Gatterdam or 'Nanne Myers for more information. To request a printed copy of the drafts, contact Katrina Mead at ext. 2764. Please specify which Standard(s).

To view the PDF draft files, you need a copy of Adobe Acrobat, which you may download for free for Macintosh or PC.

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR COMMENTS ON DRAFT TWO BY JUNE 15, 2001. THANK YOU.
