All one time and on-going requests for individual office, lab, classroom and after-hour building lock and unlock services must be submitted to the UAF Police Department in writing on department letterhead and be signed by the appropriate departmental authority. Requests must be received by police department during regular business office hours 8-5 Monday through Friday and must be received a minimum of two (2) normal business days prior to the requested time of service.
Service request approval confirmation is the responsibility of the requesting department. Submittal does not mean automatic fulfillment of request as we have limited resources and must have available staff and sufficient time to schedule and support the service requested.
Submittal of after-hour work or access needs of students, instructors or staff should follow the same protocol with written authorization lists faxed to the UAF Police. Proper documentation and prior notification will eliminate many potential problems that can occur.
