Dennis Jackson - Computer Modeling of Infrasonic Waves
           

I worked for Professor Olson and the infrasound group. I helped develop two different models for simulating infrasound in the atmosphere. The simulations are used to predict if the microphone array in Fairbanks is able to detect sound waves produced around the state.

 
The research helped me realize that physics was about more than just solving textbook problems, and can be much more interesting.
