Alaska Sea Grant Book Store The Alaska Sea Grant and the Marine Advisory Program work with scientists, marine advisory agents, educators, and resource users to provide award-winning books, videos and posters about the marine environment. The Bookstore provides resources for marine education in K-12 classrooms, species identification guides, safety and survival manuals, fishing business guides, and much more. Order online at their website: Cooperative Extension Service The Cooperative Extension Service has over 300 publications written by university specialists, which contain information of interest to Alaska residents. Topics include agriculture and natural resources, community resources and economic development, energy education and housing, and family and home economics. Many of the publications are available online, free of charge. Geophysical Institute Map Office The Earth Science Information Center (ESIC) Map Office provides map sales of USGS maps. The Map Office has wall-size maps, USGS topographic maps and CDROMs, nautical charts as well as a variety of books, slides, videos and curriculum pertaining to the Aurora. The Map Office is located in room 204 of the International Arctic Research Center (IARC). UA Museum of the North The UA Museum of the North offers a wide variety of publications for youth and adults that pertain to Alaska’s natural history, Native culture, natural resources , unique landscape and the aurora.
