Alaska Quaternary Center Alaska Statewide High School Science Symposium (ASHSSS) Grades 9-12 can participate in Science, Math, Engineering and Technology (SMET) Mentored Research. Participation includes writing a scientific paper on student research performed and submitting a formal paper and abstract for competitive revie Doug Schamel Memorial Fund Funding opportunity for promoting and supporting science education and enthusiasm for science in K-12 age children. Museum Docent Led School Tours Alaska Native Cultural Material Docent led tours are conducted by volunteer docents (museum teachers) for K-6 students on a variety of program themes using the Hands-on Collection and Museum exhibits. UAF Alaska Summer Research Academy The UAF Alaska Summer Research Academy (ASRA) is a two-week summer camp for students in grades 8-12 administered by the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. University of Alaska Museum of the North Consistently rated the best museum in Alaska, the UA Museum provides an excellent introduction to the Native culture, science and natural history of Alaska.
