Actuarial Scholarships for Minority Students
To provide scholarships at the undergraduate or graduate level for certain minority students who are interested in pursuing actuarial careers.
ACS Scholars Program - Chemistry Scholarships for African American, Hispanic and American Indian Students
The American Chemical Society awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000 are given to qualified applicants based on academic standing, financial need, career objective, leadership skills, and involvement in school activities and community service.
American Bar Association (ABA) - Legal Opportunity Scholarship Program
The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Program was established to improve diversity in the legal profession by encouraging and supporting racial and ethnic minority law students. The scholarship provides $5,000 of financial assistance annually to each scholarship recipient attending an ABA-accredited law school. Assuming the recipient achieves satisfactory performance in law school, an award made to an entering freshman may be renewed for two additional years, resulting in financial assistance totaling $15,000 during his or her time in law school.
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) - Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students
For the purpose of this program, the AICPA defines minority students as those of Black, Native American/Alaskan Native, or Pacific Island races, or of Hispanic ethnic origin. The scholarships are competitive, merit- and need-based awards of up to $5,000 for outstanding accounting students who, in the opinion of the Institute's Selection Committee, show significant potential to become certified public accountants. All applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Cambridge Scholarships
In October 2000, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation of Seattle, Washington, USA announced a donation to the University of Cambridge of $210 million to establish the Gates Cambridge Trust.
This benefaction creates in perpetuity an international scholarship programme to enable outstanding graduate students from outside the United Kingdom to study at the University of Cambridge. The Trustees are required to award scholarships on the basis of a person's intellectual ability, leadership capacity and desire to use their knowledge to contribute to society throughout the world by providing service to their communities and applying their talents and knowledge to improve the lives of others.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
CHCI's scholarship opportunities are afforded to Latino students who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities and who demonstrate a desire to continue their civic engagement in the future. There is no GPA or academic major requirement. Students with excellent leadership potential are encouraged to apply.

The Gates Millennium Scholarships
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program (GMS), established in 1999, was initially funded by a $1 billion grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The goal of GMS is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant financial need to reach their highest potential.

American College of Healthcare Executives Minority Internship
The American College of Healthcare Executives Minority Internship was established in 1991 to attract minority students into the fields of heathcare and professional society management and to further their postgraduate education.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
Every summer, 30 promising Latino undergraduates from across the country are selected for an eight-week program in the nation's capital. While in DC, interns work in the offices of U.S. representatives. Interns benefit from the leadership development curriculum's emphasis on work experience, community service, and learning. SCI Scholars - Industrial Internships for Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Undergraduates
Exceptional sophomores and juniors majoring in chemistry and chemical engineering can apply for a prestigious 10-week internship through the SCI Scholars Program. SCI Scholars are selected based on the strength of their application, statement of interest in an industrial internship, and letters of recommendation. Twenty-one scholars will be chosen for internship positions in the summer 2010. Applications are due January 15, 2010.
Congressman Don Young's Office
By assisting the Congressman’s district staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a Congressional office provides constituent services, interacts with the community.
Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications and constituent services staff members.
Los Alamos National Laboratory
Our vision is to serve the nation by developing and applying the best of science and technology to make the world a better and safer place. All undergraduate student interns will be required to be enrolled as full-time students (12 credit hours) in their respective college or university during the school year.
Minority Access Internship Program
The Minority Access Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to merge academic theory with practical application in the work place through full time and part time internships. The program allows talented college students to experience the full scope and diversity of career opportunities available in the management, professional and technical domains of participating entities.
We are a non-profit educational organization which supports individuals, institutions, Federal agencies and corporations of all kinds to diversify their campuses and work sites by improving recruitment, retention and enhancement of minorities.
Senator Lisa Murkowski's Office
Interns will assist Senator Murkowski's staff in legislative and constituent duties. Individuals must be able writers and possess excellent communications skills. Interns will assist in the day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks within the office such as directing mail, speaking with constituents, running errands, and assisting staff with research projects. Interns will gain insight into the workings of a Senate office and how the legislative process works. They will also have the opportunity enjoy the many educational and cultural activities that are available in the Washington D.C. area.

AAUW Fellowships and Grants for U.S. and International Women
AAUW has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women in the United States and around the globe. One of the world's largest sources of funding for graduate women, AAUW is providing more than $3 million in funding for more than 200 fellowships and grants to outstanding women and nonprofit organizations in the 2009-10 academic year. Due to the longstanding, generous contributions of AAUW members, a broader community of women continues to gain access to educational and economic opportunities — breaking through barriers so that all women have a fair chance.
Fellowship and grant recipients perform research in a wide range of disciplines and work to improve their schools and communities. Their intellect, dedication, imagination, and effort promise to forge new paths in scholarship, improve the quality of life for all, and tackle the educational and social barriers facing women in the United States and around the globe.
Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP)
The East-West Center's (EWC) Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) has announced the opening recruitment for its graduate certificate course. Based at the East-West Center in Honolulu, the program creates a network of dynamic leaders from around the world who are familiar with the critical issues and cultures of the Asia Pacific region and trains them to work collaboratively. The program involves intensive coursework and field studies. All participants receive an APLP entry fellowship.
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
This is a paid Fellowship Program that offers talented Latinos, who have earned a bachelor's degree within two years of the program start date, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the national level in public policy.
Fellows have the opportunity to work in congressional offices and federal agencies, depending on their area of interest. Some past focus areas have included international affairs, economic development, health and education policy, housing, or local government.
