URSA is UAF’s resource for the development and promotion of experiential learning activities that engage undergraduate students to support UAF’s goal to become a leading student-focused research university. Undergraduate students in any year of study, in any discipline and on any UAF campus may apply for up to $2,500. Funding can be used to support student salary, travel, tuition, services and/or supplies. Click on image above for more details.
The UAF Arctic Innovation Competition (AIC) is Alaska’s original idea contest created by Dr. Ping Lan and launched in 2009. The AIC is run by the UAF School of Management and currently awards $25,750 in cash prizes. The AIC is easy to enter – no prototype or business plan is required (although they are recommended). Individuals and teams of all ages may enter, and there is no entry fee.
