UAF Office of International Programs

Students pay UAF technology and network fees and a $100 processing fee to UAF. All tuition, housing and student fees are paid to the Study Abroad program provider or host institution.

The following study abroad programs are in order by Program Provider and then the countries within which the Program Provider has programs.

Individual Independent Study Abroad Programs

Individual independent study abroad programs may be arranged.

In addition to the normal application process for the above programs to go on an independent individual study abroad program you must submit the following additional information.

1. Course information (must be complete and specific).
2. Program administration information (site direction, housing, program dates, etc.)
3. Specific information regarding which institution will issue your transcript,
IN WRITING.
4. An approval letter from UAF Academic Advisor indicating they have reviewed
the program courses and approve them for UAF credit.

EuroScholars provides the opportunity to conduct research (all done in English) at a high caliber institution in a chosen field of study while taking a language and culture class. 	SEMESTER AT SEA Semester at Sea Experience a variety of countries and cultures on a voyage of discovery with Semester at Sea. Each fall and spring Semester at Sea's 100 day voyages circumnavigate the globe. During the Spring semester the ship typically sails east departing in January from the Bahamas. In the fall the ship typically sails West, departing Vancouver, BC or Ensenada, Mexico in August. Summer programs are typically 65 days long lasting from mid-June to mid-August, are regionally focused and may take students to Asia or Latin and south America. 	DIRECT UNIVERSITY STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS:
	The following programs are study abroad programs. The tuition is paid directly to the foreign University at their tuition rates. You are responsible for all housing, living expenses and travel.
